AB 445 (Cunningham) Career technical education: the California Career Technical Education Grant Program

AB 445 would increase from $200,000,000 to $300,000,000 the General Fund appropriation to the State Department of Education for the California Career Technical Education Grant Program for the 2017–18 fiscal year, and would provide this level of appropriation for this program through the 2020–21 fiscal year.

AB 705 (Irwin) Matriculation: Assessment

AB 705  would maximize the probability that students enter and complete transfer-level coursework in English and mathematics within a one-year timeframe and use high school coursework, high school grades and/ or the high school grade point average to help place students in English and mathematics courses in order to achieve this goal.

AB 1114 (Eduardo Garcia) Supervised Population Workforce Training Grant Program

AB 1114 would expand the scope of the supervised population served by the program to include persons who are on parole and persons who are supervised by, or under the jurisdiction of, the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

AB 1336 (Mullin) Workforce Dashboard

AB 1336 provides for the analyzing and reporting of the labor market impacts of the workforce education and training programs included in the workforce metrics dashboard.

SB 15 (Leyva) Cal Grant C

SB 15 would provide an additional access award of $2,453 to community college students who receive Cal Grant C awards to pursue occupational and technical training and streamline the application process for Cal Grant C awards.
